Summary:
This

Sigantic® manufacturing process delivers GaN-on-Silicon RF power transistors
to meet the increasing power, frequency and bandwidth requirements found in
the communication infrastructure and military markets. By combining the
performance of GaN devices with the economy and familiarity of silicon
substrates, Nitronex now gives communications OEMs the ideal solution.

Mission Statement:
Provide engineering support and continuous yield improvement for a range of products (FETs and MMICs) through all phases of product development and manufacturing.
Desired Outcomes:
· Product Development:
- Evaluate robustness of new designs to variations in the manufacturing process
- Maximize yield by reducing product’s sensitivity to process variation
- Analyze product designs to ensure testability and manufacturability
· New Product Introduction:
- Collaborate with test engineering to develop appropriate production tests
- Collaborate with test and process engineering to develop in-process screens to optimize product cost and quality
- Validate initial product yield and cost with respect to the new product target
- Coordinate activities for manufacturing release to meet scheduled milestones
· Manufacturing:
- Determine root causes of non-conforming product and take appropriate action in conjunction with test, design, or process engineering
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate defects and non-conforming material
- Monitor ongoing product yields and coordinate activities to effect continuous improvement
Competencies:
· BSEE/MSEE and 5+ years experience as an IC product engineer; strong preference for RF and/or microwave product experience
· The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to:
- Interpret data using statistical techniques (SPC, DOE, ANOVA, etc.)
- Analyze and effectively present technical information
- Analyze RF and microwave circuits
- Understand device physics, and IC fabrication technology and techniques
- Evaluate product performance to specifications
- Engage in team based problem solving and process improvement projects (competency in Six Sigma or similar discipline is desirable)
