Summary
This position is a full time first shift position reporting directly to the Operations organization at Nitronex. This individual will be responsible for the development, sustaining and supporting functions for all production test needs including development and implementation of test plans, monitoring test systems and movement of product through these test systems. The individual in this position will also play a major role in finding, qualifying and sustaining an outsource test partner/capability to support volumes as the adoption of GaN on Si devices increases.

Responsibilities:

Design, fabricate/debug support and operate, as needed, test solutions for
production test. This includes operational responsibilities for all
in-line test systems; DC parametric, small-signal, load pull and
known-good-die. Sustain and support finished goods test at both DC and RF
test levels
- Develop automation for both tools and data
- Streamline the test process with eye on increased throughput without a loss in test fidelity
- Understand, operate and support inking and map generation for all products
- Document new test plans and procedures, maintain older plans; ensure accuracy
- Drive purchase of new designs as needed; ensure design compliance with test requirements
- Take the lead on diagnosis of problems and the implementation of corrective actions on all production test systems. Work closely with test engineering as a resource to move product through test points
- Assure that all calibration of all on-wafer test equipment is up-to-date Coordinate and schedule all necessary calibration
- Maintain probe and probe card inventory for all product and parametric tests – oversee repair of all such inventor in support of operational requirements
- Generate, implement and validate standard test plans for new product on DC, RF and KGD test systems. Fulfill quality system documentation requirements including documentation of test plans, calibration procedures, gold standard test limits, etc.
- Implement SPC methods to monitor all aspects of production test
- Support wafer/device handling hardware to cut test times and improve throughput
- Oversee training and certification of second and third shift test personnel on all on-wafer test systems
- Execute all weekly analysis scripts for tracking in-line parametric and yield tests.
- Maintain all analysis scripts and implement incremental improvements as need and directed to do so
- Play a major role in finding, qualifying and sustaining an outsource test partner/capability to support an increasing volume of GaN on Si devices
- Enhance and improve data gathering, storage and access in conjunction with MIS/IT Manager
- Generate wafer summary reports in support of wafer and die foundry customers
- Work closely with test and process development engineers to implement and standardizes test plans and methods for new parts and new/emerging technologies
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of ten years professional experience during semiconductor testing and BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. An advanced degree is preferred
- The ideal candidate will have directly applicable experience with on-wafer semiconductor test methodologies and practices including have developed such methodologies and systems to handle an increasing volume of product
- Experience with compound semiconductor FET technologies desirable
- Experience with die inking / marking methodologies is desirable in addition to packaged part testing using various methods and strategies
- Familiarity with manual parametric test methods such as with use of a Keithley 4200 or Agilent 4155 required
- Specific familiarity with Keithley S400 test systems, Keithley Test Environment (KTE) and Keithley Automated Characterization Suite (ACS) Software test systems highly desirable
- Candidate need to have hands-on experience with operation and programming of test equipment. Familiarity with small signal calibration methods highly desirable. Specific familiarity with Focus Load Pull, Agilent Vector Network environments is highly desirable
- Required understanding of programming languages, specifically, C programming language required
- Working knowledge of statistical analysis software packages such as JMP or MiniTab. Familiarity with script languages a strong plus
- Candidate should be a detail-oriented individual with strong organization skills and excellent work ethic
- Candidate must have excellent English communication skills
- Candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, start-up environment and with matrix-style organizational structure
