We are currently looking for a Government Contracts Accountant to:
-
Create and maintain all subcontracts, prime contracts and other programs related costs in the accounting system and ensuring the accumulation of government contract costs and billings are in accordance with FAR and DFAR regulations
- Enhance and
maintain functional accounting/reporting system approved by Defense Contract
Auditing Agency following laws and rules of Federal Acquisition Regulations
- Support Contracts
Manager with all cost proposals, budgets and contracts review
- Establish weekly
reporting/monitoring of all contracts/programs to track performance,
resources, expenses and progress billings
- Coordinate and lead
all activities with independent auditors associated with government
contracts (i.e. DCAA), and other programs (i.e. Prime Contractors)

Be responsible for determination and tracking of Overhead and G&A rates
- Handle invoicing
through WAWF and other DFAS invoicing and delivery procedures

Perform other accounting functions (non – government contracts related) such as purchasing and fixed assets maintenance
Required Skills:
-
Bachelors degree in Accounting (Masters in Accounting or Finance preferred)

8 years experience; 5 years government contracts (cost plus) accounting experience plus 3-5 years general accounting experience

Strong communications skills (verbal and written) with internal and external customers

Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask
