Job Summary:
The Reliability Engineering Manager reports to the Director of Process Engineering and is responsible for initiating, coordinating and documenting reliability activity within Nitronex Corporation – this includes technology platform as well as product qualification activities. In this capacity, this key position will interface routinely with the Process Integration, Quality, Test and Product Development functions within the company to insure new products and technologies comply with applicable guidelines. The candidate will also be a major participant in Change Review Board meetings and follow-on actions - recommending appropriate experimental methods, characterization, and qualification requirements to insure the continual improvement of our process, products and methodologies.
Nitronex
has a strong record of technical publication in the area of GaN reliability
and views such publications as vital to the adoption of its emerging
products and technologies. With this said, the candidate will be
expected to drive the
company’s ongoing participation at professional forums, conferences and in
peer-reviewed journals. More generally, this position will be responsible
for creating, and keeping up-to-date, all external-facing reliability
material, and on occasion will be involved with presenting this material
directly to our customers.

Responsibilities:
· Manage all in-house and outsource reliability activity
· Apply appropriate statistical methods to accurately predict product lifetimes
· Document reliability methodologies and results for qualification reports, technical publications and presentations
· Participant in Change Review Board meetings and drive relevant follow-on actions
· Support Quality organization with failure analysis – perform and/or oversee electrical and physical analysis
Required Skills/Experience:
· MS in electrical engineering or related discipline (materials, physics or chemical) with a minimum of five years relevant professional experience
· Experience with packaged part environmental testing and qualification
· Understanding of HTOL, HTRB, HAST, and ESD test methods
· Specific familiarity with early life failure rate estimation highly desirable
· Familiarity with JEDEC and MIL qualification standards
· Familiarity with electrical test methods and fundamental device principals
· Familiarity with FA methodologies such as C-SAM, SEM, FIB, EDAX
· Proficiency with statistical analysis methods and life-test software packages such as JMP, Weibull+, Mini-Tab
· Experience with RF and on-wafer reliability test methodologies a strong plus
· Willingness to travel (~1-3 weeks/year) in support of customer visits and conference participation
· U.S. Citizenship or green card required
