Before Conductus, Charlie was President and Chief Operating Officer of Therma-Wave, Inc., a manufacturer of semiconductor production equipment. In addition, Charlie has an extensive background in senior management positions with Aehr Test Systems, Emerson Electric Corp., and Raychem Corporation. Charlie holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Notre Dame and an M.B.A. from Stanford University. |

John Shoch, Alloy Ventures John F. Shoch is a General Partner at Alloy Ventures, Inc, an early-stage venture capital firm in Palo Alto, and specializes in information technology investing (including communications, enterprise software, Internet infrastructure, and hardware). Prior to becoming a venture investor in 1985, he spent 14 years at the Xerox Corporation -- initially at the Xerox Palo Alto Research Center (PARC) where he worked on the Ethernet, internetwork protocols, “worm” programs, and other aspects of distributed systems. Later he served as Director of the Corporate Policy Committee, and President of the Xerox Office Systems Division, also based in Palo Alto. Shoch received a B.A. degree in Political Science, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science, from Stanford University. |

Mr. Bybee concentrates primarily in the areas of information technology and physical sciences, including advanced materials, optoelectronics, semiconductors, and infrastructure businesses. He has played key roles in ARCH’s founding investments in numerous companies. He is on the Board of Directors of Nanosys, Cambrios Technologies, Nitronex, Aveso, and other private companies. Mr. Bybee also co-founded and serves as the President of the Texas Venture Capital Association. He holds a B.S. in Engineering from Texas A&M University and an M.B.A from the University of Chicago. Kyle Malady, Verizon Wireless Kyle J. Malady is Vice President of Network and Technology at Verizon Communications in Basking Ridge, NJ. Prior to this, Malady had been Vice President of Technology Development at Verizon Wireless. In that position, he was responsible for the technical deployment of new products and services. Under his leadership, advanced wireless data initiatives such as Vcast Music On Demand, VZ Navigator, MobileWeb, and Get It Now features were introduced serving as a springboard for the next generation of wireless services. Malady began his career in 1984 with NYNEX Mobile Communications Company and has held a variety of positions in planning, operations, fraud control and engineering as NYNEX Mobile became Bell Atlantic Mobile and ultimately Verizon Wireless. Malady earned his master’s degree in business administration from New York University. He completed his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut. |
